Newbie Help

Hi guys,
I am getting a childrens python for myself for my first reptile, I am experienced at keeping a range of animals and I am a snake lover but I've never kept a reptile before and I want to do it right.
So with that in mind I just want some general advice on getting started.
Mainly what is the best type of enclosure and setup to start with? I understand that my setup may change depending on the individual snakes needs but I just would like a starting point.
Any information you could give this noob would be awesome hehe

If you are getting a hatchy, then I'd recommend a Click Clack as your first enclosure:

Your snake will feel safe and secure in one of these and be less likely to hide away all the time.

Keeping and Breeding Australian Pythons, by Mike Swan
A Guide to Australian Pythons in Captivity, by Adam Elliott

The book "The Complete Childrens Python" is also a great book with very in depth information on the Childrens Python complex.
