As of recently, my woma has become a little bit inactive. She is usually roaming her enclosure, digging around and doing all the usual stuff that a Woma does, but lately has been hiding a bit more. Just wondering is this a seasonal thing or is there a problem I should be concerned about?
Here are her enclosure details:
33 degrees in the warm end and 28 degrees in the cooler end. (Celsius btw)
I use coconut fibre bedding
Enclosure is 1 metre long and 50 wide
My woma is roughly 1 year old and approximately 70-80 cm long

I'm quite new to keeping snakes, and I am quite concerned. All help is appreciated!

Nah mate, everything is absolutely fine! Your snake is just slowing down a bit for brumation due to this cold weather lately :D

You'll be right.

You should have no concern, you can even start bringing down his temps in his cage just for winter to keep a healthy cycle

Are you running heat 24 hours a day? If you do then there may be another issue because brumation will only happen if the temperatures are allowed to drop over night.

It says 10 pm because I was typing it up on my phone at about lunch time and forgot to press send, so when I went back to check it was still there, so I posted at that time

It is probably all good then and just the start of brumation. Try to reduce the cool end and everything will be perfect.

Oh wow okay didn't think it had to be that low... Thanks, will go adjust the themostat now. Cheers!
Sorry to go against PF because he is definitely one of the most experienced here, however, I have many womas and their cool end is 24-26, however starting to cool that down soon.

My Woma is doing the same thing. She has slowed down considerably over the last month. She has had her last feed till September. I have turned her heat down one hour and two degrees over the last few weeks. Spends nearly all her time in her rock. Just waiting for her to have a final poop before I turn the heat off totally till September. Still changing water daily.

So would it be sensible to still offer her food? Or should I just leave her be?

As long as your Woma has a bit of condition on it I'd lay off the food for a few months.

Ok she just did a big shed, could that of been why she has been a little slow?
