hey guys I just got a baby spotted python and on the paper they gave me of when he was born and shad etc I noticed he hasn't shed since the 1st of the February he is 6 months old. I read they are meant to shed every 6-8 weeks, should I start feeding him more and fatting him up so he can shed

All snakes are different individually and so will have different feed schedules. What is he eating? Is the humidity okay in his enclosure? Could you post some pictures? Where did you get the animal from? Some breeders don't record sheds, or the breeder may have forgotten to record sheds. If you got it from a pet shop, they most likely got it off a breeder, and pet shops often don't record sheds, just feeds.

Everything seems fine is eating well I did get him from a pet shop but they said they were recording everything so I may have to ask them about it
I have only had him about two weeks but when I was reading the record I was super confused as why he has only shed once

Lucky u getting a record sheet

I got nothing from mine, to them my snake never existed even though I got a bag with id and gender

But yea everything should be good, just keep your own records from now on.. I know most people don't record when they handle it, but I like to.. just gives that extra bit of history if you have to go to vets

Yup it's likely they where feeding him small prey so he didn't grow quickly upgrade the prey size and he will probably go into shed very quickly :)

Sheding isn't determinable. if your feeding properly. it will shed when its ready to shed
