Black Snake? Grey?

Hi all, came across this at my father in laws property at cape Conran.

Usually see a snake a day going around the place - blacks mainly and massive! The odd brown

This one was a lot greyer not sure if it was due to the nearly dry dam it was in.

Anyway am very curious.

Had a vid of it but can't upload

It does have the shape and dimensions of RBS. If it has been foraging through muddy remains of a wet area looking for its favoured diet of frogs, then that would certainly account for its present appearance.
