G'day,

Is Kritters Krumble a suitable substrate for a yearling diamond python and/or a hatchling stimsons python?

Thanks,

I'm by far no expert, but I use the fine Kritter Krumbles for my Roughie (not quite 2 years, see my pic) and remove from the tank for feeding, just to be safe. I have had no dramas at all with smells or compaction, so I am happy. Most people seem to use paper towel or newspaper though, but up to you...

I use paper towel for small enclosures or click clacks, then move to critters crumbles and it works awesome :)

It'll be fine. I've been using fine Kritter's Crumble for my young S.W. Carpet Python since it was roughly four months old. There's been no issues. I don't take my snakes out of their enclosures to feed. I have a friend who has a young Stimson's that I bought for them as a gift. It's on the same substrate and has never been taken out for a feed either. Still going strong.

Have you seen wild snake scats? They're full of bark, sticks, sometimes worse things, and yet there's still plenty of snakes in the bush.
