HELP! My baby boyd wont eat! she hasnt in two days now. i have offeredher mealworms and grasshoppers... she has just finished shedding her skin, could that be why? how long can she go without food, what can i do to make her eat? i am worried about her because the male of the same age is alot fatter, and she seems skinny now...

I don't have any first-hand experience with Boyd's FD however based on my experience with their cousin the southern forest dragon I think that your little dude should be absolutely fine for at least a week (probably longer) without food.

Sloughing shouldn't be causing it not to eat, make sure you have their environment right (humidity and heat) and try some different foods such as crickets or snails.

good luck:)

Today I forced her to eat a meal worm, because she looks so skinny. I think she might have been too hot in my room (29-30 degrees), so I moved her into my mums room which is 25 degrees. Is that too cold? She has just lost all her energy and pretty much her will to live... is she sick, should I be worried? I live I a small town, so I don't think our vets r specialised in reptiles...

I used to keep Boyds but they are hard ,make sure your humidity is high and temps are low. They do lose the will the will to live ,I was force feeding my female for 6 months but she eventually passed away the day after I bought a male and he died mysteriously a year later.
Talk to Shane Brighton on crackbook, he reckons he knows all about Boyds
