Where is the best place to attach the thermostat probe?

At the hot side, in tub on the surface?
On the bottom of the tub?
On the aluminium foil tape of the heat cord?
Or somewhere else?

If that tub you have it in now is spare/empty its perfect . I keep an un occupied tub in my hatchie rack in the middle somewhere like that , otherwise in the middle level of the rack beside a tub on top of the ally tape is good just set temp a bit higher

Taped on the heat tape or cord is where I have mine.

Yeah I've tried that, let's C for a few days.
Used masking tape and taped it with the head cord connecting the levels of the rack

Just my 2c,

Tape is fine as long as you eliminate any way you animals could come in contact with it. If you cant then relocate the probe or use another method of fixing it in place.

It's outside the rack, directly taped on the heat cord with a masking tape
