The other interesting thing about leaving the eggs in a clump is they all seem to be aware of each other and pip and hatch together over a very short period as do reptiles that bury their eggs. This was not my experience when incubating separated eggs. Did this happen with the MI clutch?
This lot of jungles were about as fat and healthy as you can get and you can see how neatly and uniformly they pip the shell.

That's interesting. I haven't actually found any difference in this way. My clutches of Carpets used to hatch over about 3 days and I don't think I ever actually separated them, always did Carpets as an adhered clutch. I wonder why my results were different. I found the same with other pythons too. I'll have to try experimenting in the future.

Never more than about 24 hours, they usually start to come out at night or early morning and then the stragglers will be out the next night. They are all incubated over water with no medium if that has any influence.

Interesting. If I'm ever keeping Carpets again I'll play around with incubation methods and pay close attention to the timing/synchronisation.
