I kept a lot of diamonds in large aviaries that I had formerly used for black cockatoos in NW Sydney. You need climbing branches and sunny spots for them to thermoregulate but most important is some shade and cool hiding places to get away from summer heat, I had underground hides. In the wild they can escape heat under rock ledges or in hollow logs etc and you must provide this or it will end badly.
Diamonds that have been raised from hatchlings and kept for years in controlled temperature enclosures can have problems adapting to a natural environment where they have to regulate their temperature.
