Interesting story. Not sure what cringed me more:

  • Opening the back bare handed with no protection knowing an eastern brownie was right in there...

  • Poking around with a large metal hook in the back of an electric oven. (I'm assuming the power was turned off at the switchboard, but still - it goes against my safety principle)....

  • Or the recommendation of sucking up smaller snakes with a vacuum cleaner. (That's the first I've ever heard of that! What happens when you turn it off... an upset snake comes back out!?)

As for the Murray Darling python in the roof - whilst I don't think the airconditioner would be the greatest of places, in the roof itself dealing with the mice and rats sounds like a great tenant!
