getting my first snake (Bredli Python) soon and can't seem to find a good cheap heat mat. i have a 5 by 2 by 2 enclosure, any help would be appreciated. :):):)

Wooden or glass? Either way I would recommend a heat cord, 7.5m should do

A Cheap heat mat is likely to end with a roasted toasted snake or worse and would be awkward to find a suitable size

glass, and aren't heat cords just as expensive as heat mats?

What heat cord do you use? and how do you set it up?
I use the ones from http://www.ausreptiles.com.au/

You have to calculate how much you will need, which would be 1.5ft (50cm) of enclosure w/ 3cm gaps (16 gaps) between each row going up and down 60cm each time (17)

You can do the maths :p it’ll be just over 10m and you will stick the probe in middle

(Of course use cable underneath the tank, never inside )
