Hi everyone... What is the best type of Gecko to get and breed? Someone told me to stay away from the Tokays...But I dont think they are Australian?

Thanks

nah tokays arent aussie, my guesses probably would be southern leaf tailed, thick tailed geckos or knob tailed geckos.
where ya from.

I've got 4 Bynoes geckos, and they're great.....

(I've actually got them for sale at the moment if you're after some..... he he he unashamed plug! )

Personally I think the clawed geckos are easier (such as southern leaf tailed, thick tailed and knob tailed) because you can keep them in an open toped aquarium and they wont climb out but if you have a secure cage then geckos with padded feet are no problem and can look great sitting on the glass.

I don't keep geckos but agree with Whaa, go for one that cannot climb glass. If they get out they are nigh on impossible to catch again.

I am just trying to get a bit of a price idea, how much have you seen clawed geckoes for?

P.S I in sydney, ackie.
