i say congratulations sam and welcome to townsville :)

RE: Re: RE: welcome to townsville

Thanks pinx!!
It was meant to be a herping expedition, found a couple gtfs and some cool gex (not just house geckos for a change) but a lot more Cane toads! If they're on a hard surface and you hit them from above, they can bounce well over half a metre vertically!!
Anyway, my absence was inexcusable and I apologize, but there's been a lot of socialising I've had to do ;)
Bry, not a chance hehe, but you should come back up!

Yep damn straight i'm proud of myself after each time i kill a toad the dirty filthy rotten virmin feralf#ckers. To me they are like a mossie biting you"has to be smashed" Ummm did i ever mention i really hate toads??????????

RE: Re: RE: welcome to townsville

me too i mean caintoads are living things to but we must do our part and its not like we can relocate them and this is just the simplest cheapsets way of desposing of them and it gives u a bit of fun too

RE: Re: RE: welcome to townsville

Do they squeal when you smoosh em?
Nup...and if you hit em right the first time you hear a familiar thud that lets you know you got em first go.It's so funny watching someone going in full ninja style and belting the hell of a toad and then it hops up and jumps away

Yeah actually, very gratifying. I don't blame the individuals, but what they've done to this country there're no regrets smashing a few of em.
Do they squeal when you smoosh em?
Nope, just deflate :)

Browns, I tried the ninja style stuff, and you're right, doesnt always work! I had my 4x4 style down pat by the end of the night though :)

lmao once you work out how to deflate and dispatch with 4 x 4 or golf club, cricket bat or whatever you never forget....just like riding a bike. The main thing is if you're killing em round your home is to pick em up and lob em as far away as possible cause they stink like anything a few days later"insert chunder smiley"

RE: Re: RE: welcome to townsville

While you's are at it why not kill every cat and dog that are running around. They are all introduced aswell. Why not kill a few dingos and the sparrows. Its not the animals fault they were brought into the country, they are trying their best to survive.

Ok. cept the dingos, they've been here long enough I'll consider them a part of australia. in 10 thousand years I'll stop killing cane toads.

I know that. I don't blame the individual animals. I do wish that australia had never seen bufo marinus. And before you start with the 'inhumane' argument, I doubt that if a piano dropped on my head from a few stories up I'd be complaining, cause I'd never knwo what hit me.

RE: Re: RE: welcome to townsville

If it weren't for dingos, Tasmanian Devils and Thylcines(Tassie Tiger) would still exist on the mainland.
