Can't read posts

Has anyone else had the problem of most of the posts having spaces between the letters? It is totally unreadable, and the words go into the next line so half a word is here and half there. Also some of the threads don't end, they cut off in the middle of it and that's just it, no buttons or anything at the bottom.

Maybe this has been adressed.....I dunno, I can't read most of the posts.

No, I haven't experienced anything like that. May have something to do with your screensize - I run at 1600 x 1200 and it looks fine at my end. Anyone else?

Same problem here.I posted about it in the other site problem thread a few days ago.It has nothing to do with screen size as some posts in the same threads read fine and some don't.
Seems to be even more screwy trying to read posts when you aren't logged in.

Okay, it's not just me . Yeah, I have the same thing, some are fine but most are like this: (from cross breeding survery, NCHERPS) but way more spaced out than it appears below.

Nah, it's not that I reckon, coz about half the posts are fine, but others aren't, even in the same thread.

I have the same problem if I try and view the threads without logging in first. Once I log in everything is fine.

Is could be a screw up with the fonts. Some 16 bit fonts will behave like this if they are being interpretted as regular 8 bit fonts.

In IE you may want to have a play with the settings under View->Encoding and see if that helps.

Yep, logged in or not, I still have the same problem, and it changes-some posts are unreadable one time, but readable the next. Don't have problems with any other site at all, nor this one before it was upgraded.

Also,it's very very slow on this site only, and when I type, my words come up as vertical lines for ages.
:roll: :shock: :? I miss the old site, this one seems to pull alot more RAM as well.

Actually, it could be a combination of both. Never assume, it only makes an ass out of.... etc.

The fact that it works fine for me and most other users points to something else. Yes, obviously, it's related to the upgrade somehow, but I suspect that there's probably something relating to the browser or Windows fonts being used as well.

Slateman Junior (SJ for short) is our resident guru. He is working a couple of jobs at the moment and is rarely home, but the problems have been reported to him and he will attend to them as soon as possible.

In the meantime, try changing things like text size under the View menu. Try changing your screen resolution, etc.

Could a few people for whom it IS working advise their screen size settings and a few people for who it is NOT working do the same? Don't know if it will help SJ, but ut can't hurt! (like chicken soup!)

I also have a lot of problem getting on to page 2 on posts, have to go back to discussion forum, pick the topic again and start on page 2.
