A friend of mine (who knows how much I love Olive Pythons) just emailed me this pic that she found online.

It's such a good pic that i thought I would post it here for all the olive lovers out there to enjoy :D

Hmmmm...the head looks too out of proportion to the body to me.
Sure it's an Olive?

Although I have seen it on here before, it still makes me really happy to see it again! Love that photo!

Moosey, where is your photochop ???

Fantastic photo! :D

I want to make a fake rock wall that looks like that!!!

One thing I'm wondering though, did the kangaroo fall in? It's all wet! lol. (Yes, I'm a dumb a$$)

its an old one but still love it.
zoom in on it and you will see its an olive.....

I actually thought that the head of the animal looked too broad to be an Olive.

Looks like a Baronii (excuse the spelling)

I have been told that feeding large food items to carpets stretches their head... i imagine after eating prey that big for a while the same thing would happen to an olive.

Alot of large male olives have heads distinct from their neck in the wild. :)

'specially when all the muscles are working hard and are distorted and stretched due to pulling a macropod out of the water...

:p

Yeah, you're right - I hadn't applied such solid logic!
After all, Olives are the only large, constricting snakes...

Large brown constrictor with pale belly found in northern Australia and capable of eating a wallaby?
You give me some clues what else it could be?

I love this pic whether its touched up or not, The thing to keep in mind is that there isnt anything in the picture to judge scale so the macropod may only be a small wallaby.
I much prefer the follow up shot that shows the second meal which if I recall correctly was an elephant.

That's the one!
I knew that the photo bugged me for some reason and that's it.
I had only seen the photo of the Olive 'taking' an elephant!
