well...I will try and say something to the question...really a python is a snake but I think I know what your trying to ask, most all snake are the same but there are a few adaptions to some species and that is because some are specialist feeders...species that prey apon birds and thick furred mammals generally have longer teeth to penatrate, frog eater generally have long teeth also but thinner, with venomous snakes they have a set of fang and usually a spare set this are not hollow but do have a groove to allow the venom to run....I hope that helps abit, so really each species have slightly different dental structures....

Snakes are divided into many families around the world, and pythons are just one of these families, as are boas, vipers, elapids, sea snakes, sea kraits, and so one. Most families have different teeth structures to each other.
 
yeah cheers, that was what i was trying to write, i would like everyone to note the time that i posted that, so i wasnt 100% awake :p.

yeah, ive always wondered about what makes a python a python.
