OK, I did NOT take these photos, they are from an old 'GEO' magazine, but wow ......
Mt Etna near Rockhampton is a full of Limestone caves where the Little-bent Wing Bat breeds, and these 'Liasis childreni' make the most of it. no don't complain it was written in 1987-1988 so that was probably the correct name then (now Antaresia maculosa).
Only error is that the ptyhons are listed as growing up to 2.5m, could be getting mixed up with the Coastal Carpets that are also mentioned in the story........enjoy!
