Gorgeous - i know most are for frogs - but there are a few snakes in there - how on earth do you clean an enclosure like that?

who knows maybe bacteria in the soil breaks down wastes and so on... like in the wild .. who knows .. like taking a chunk of nature and putting it in ur room hahaha.. i wonder if dats illegal :p

Generally the idea is to make it self regulating.
The waste is broken down by plants / fungi / bacteria.
