    Olive or Water Python?

About three years ago I responded to an add for a "baby aussie python". I purchased him and did some research and came to the conclusion that it was an olive python. Now I am realizing it could be a water python. How can I tell the difference? They look the same to me. Thanks.

How to tell if your womas are hungry again ;)

Well, one of my boys resumed feeding about 4 weeks ago, and the other started about a week ago. Irridescent Scales - How does it happen?

Recently (as early as the very early am) a thread was presented about what you don't like about aussie snakes. Someone who shall remain nameless (sax) suggested antaresia were extremely ugly and boring. But the one thing that came extremely clear to me, when owning antaresia, was their...

    Enclosure Sizing

I've got an idea for an enclosure for my python but I don't think the dimensions will be big enough. It's quite high, 1.8m but made up of cubes. Essentially a huge series of 45cm cubes, individually sectioned. 3 cubes will be "fish tanks", dark cubes, cubes that are hidden, light cubes, heat...

What are you Water Python enclosures like?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering about people's water python enclosures. I know because water pythons get to a good size you need a large enclosure but you also need a swimming pool thing for the snake as well. So Melamine enclosures would be out of the question as they would get wrecked...

Hi All I have 3 pythons, 2 of which were being fed on mice when I bought them. Whilst the transition from mice to rats was very easy for one of them (I simply heated her up a rat and she took it), the other is a quieter snake and has rejected rats every time I have tried to feed them to her...

Can a mental scrubbie be calmed down?

Right, so basically I have been given the task to calm down a scrub python. He's sitting at around 1.5m at the moment (I've never taken him out for a good look) which is small on the scrub scale, but sizable enough to give a decent bite. I usually wouldn't ask about handling, but for such a...
