Hi all just after some opinions on providing hatchys with 24 hour heat, i have always provided 24 hour heating for snakes up to yearlings but i have contemplated putting my hatchys on 7am-7pm heat purely to save on cost so if it in anyway affected their health i would not go ahead. my thinking is that they dont need or get 24hr heat in the wild so why would it matter in captivity?

I always provide 24/7 heat for the first year but only so I can get them established as good/regular eaters without taking a break over winter.
I can't imagine the cost saving from this being more than negligible to be honest and I think it might delay the good feeding habits of a couple of late starters.

Ok thanks for advice got all bar 1 hatchy eating on 1st go after the 8 week mark so id rather not change anything if it means some will become fussy.
