Ackie monitor scent marking question

I recently relocated one of my juvenile (31Aug20) ackie monitors to another enclosure and it has spent much of the day scent marking the new enclosure.

I had suspected this one to be female, but maybe not... Do females scent mark too, or is it just the males?

Hi, yes both sexes scent mark.
How big is the monitor just now?

Apparently, everything is now marked to his/her satisfaction, as the behavior has ceased.

The monitor is approximately 15" total length with good body mass.

Females can become sexually mature @ a SV length of 10 to 12cm (approx. 4 to 4.5 inches) I would think your monitor might well be a sexually mature adult already.
