With APS its porn or poo.

Grats on the future bubs! Would love to be able to keep amyae :(

lucky you, i keep getting eggs but have never seen them do the deed!!

looks like a bit of a balancing act, lol!!

does he bite the girls neck? i cant work out if hes hanging on wth his mouth,..

how long are thet at it for? i keep sneaking up on mine hoping to catch some action,....

Hi Chris,
Yes he does bite her neck and that's how he holds on. I keep mine separate and only introduce them for breeding. If they are interested in mating it usually happens straight away so i always get to see and take pictures. I would say they stay connected for about 30min.

the male looks quite small in comparison to her, is 62g average for a female amyae.

wow, 30 mins, thats impressive!!!! :)

thanks for the answer! :p

He is about 36g. He has helped produce fertile clutches since he was about 30g. My 3 female amyae are between 60-68g at present. They drop over 10g after laying eggs but i seam to have no problem with them regaining most of the weight between clutches. Mine are still fairly young so they may get heavier.
