Hey guys, Im wondering if anyone else has come across this weirdness.
I have a baby (6 months old), Angle headed Dragon, and just yesterday I noticed the inner eyelid looks like its swollen and bulging out of the socket.
My friend had the same issue with her Adult AHD, and unfortunately the wee thing passed away - she took it to Lorte Smith Animal hospital here in Melbourne and even the Reptile Specialist said he hadnt seen anything like this before and wasnt sure what to do.
So I have 2 babies in a large enclosure, with UV lighting and a small heat mat.
I feed them appropriate sized crickets dusted with EarthPro A.

I heard that it could be a lighting issue?
Or a Vitamin A deficiency??
Im quite worried because I have no idea what to do honestly.
I have some pics - but Im not surr if I should post them because they are quite graphic - but if anyone can help, I will send them thru

thank you
Katy

Excessive exposure to UVB is a known cause of eye damage in Angle Headed dragons called Photo-Kerato- Conjunctavitis. It's usually caused as a result of the UV globe being either too strong or too close to the lizards basking spot or a combination of both. A photo of the critter's enclosure might help in sorting out the problem.

Hey GBWhite!
Thank you so much - here is a pic of the layout and the bulb I use....
[doublepost=1593930549,1593930389][/doublepost]actually it the server wont load my pics :(
[doublepost=1593930966][/doublepost]Im using the Exo Terra UVB100 coil bulb....and I will keep trying to upload a pic of their tank.
The tank is a Exo Terra Medium 62cm high and 45 cm wide and deep.
They have two branches from ground to back wall, and I guess they can actually get pretty close to the light :(
I am looking up the conjunctivitis - do you have any suggestions on what to do in the meantime? or which lighting to pick please?
Tha k you so much

Katy
