Should have just said your grandma died, taken a sicky or something. If you were an employer and someone said they didnt want to work because their goldfish, bonsai or pet roach died, how would you feel about it?

the title of the thread is 'another rant thread', and that was my rant, seems pretty relevant really.
I didnt feel the need to start another 'another rant thread' about my rant.
