In the ACT with a cold bundy
Yeah i know you guys must get jack of this but...
we were out for a bush BBQ yesterday and on our way home we saw this bloke on the dirt road it was between Jerrangle and Captin's Flat near the ACT.He was about 3 and hald-4 foot long.
He was fairly docile as hubby took pics from a safe distance with a telelens considering he had his best safety boots on (thongs) hehehehe:lol: anyways i have said Red belly black but due to lack of red on his flanks im not 100% hubby says Tiger or copperhead? what do you guys think? After taking the pics hubby moved him off the road as we had seen 7 dead blueys on the road :( and we would hate for him to be the next speed bump.
cheers DG

When I zoom in on the head in the 2nd and 3rd photos, I'm pretty sure I can see the "bands" on the lips that indicates "copperhead", probably Austrelaps ramsayi rather than A. superbus.

A big ol' Austrelaps ramsayi, highlands copperhead.
