Just curious how much other owners of Childrens (generic) pythons fed their hatchlings. My two Stimson's have had three pinkies in a week and are still always looking for food. If fed in the morning, the lump has gone and they are looking that afternoon and have defecated the next morning. Just looking for other peoples experiences. :D

Big Mac is just moths old, she eats 3-4 a week normally digested in 3 days.

Ours maccies are absolute pigs. They get fed 2xday old rat pups weekly and always look for more.Prior to rat pups they were being fed 2xweek old pinkie mice. They shed on average once a month although the male shed in 3 weeks once. The average growth has been around 66mm per shed.

Have fed 3xweek old pinkies once but it did seem to me that it was too much although having said that I'm sure they would have taken one or two more.

Lumps also tend to disappear within 24 hours and they are out "hunting" again. As far as crap goes they tend to be light on compared to whats going into the bitey end.

cheers M............

They are 6 weeks old and have only had 4 day old mouse pinkies so far in their lives. :D

Should clarify, lumps gone in 24hrs, out the other end in 3days, very small amounts.

My Stimsoni is 2 years old and would eat every day of the week if you let her. She is a guts and has never refused a feed even throughout her whole slough cycle. I feed her a couple of fuzzy Rats once a week these days. Her metabolism is quick, her bump seems to be gone next day.

Cheers, Greg
