Att central qld turtle missing

Hi everyone I live in Boyne Island Qld and my short neck murray river turtle has gone missing. His shell length is approx 25cm length. We suspect he has been stolen so if anyone sees a large turtle for sale may you please let me know.

was it in an outdoor pond or something?

Yeah he was in an outdoor pond but we still don't believe he escaped because the walls are curved out and there is at least 15cm above water level he has tried many times we have watched him and failed to get out. I was talking to everyone in my street yeasterday to find he old man down the road found the turtle walking back up the hill toward my place so he picked him up and put him in the duck pond which is rather large we are going to throw some meat blocks in and see if he comes out but we are very paranoid that 10 of turtles may come out.
