Hi All,

Has any witnessed the behavior of their bearded dragons before they mate?

Does it include the male trying to lick and nuzzle the females head, while she keeps trying to bite his tail? There is also much head bobbing done by both parties, or are they just sick of each other and fighting lol

They seem to be doing a little dance by spinning around in circles :)

thanks all!

Nina

That sounds like fighting, if the female is already gravid she will attack the males tail until he gets the hint.

Are u sure u haven't got 2 males there?
Mating usually involves the male running the female down, jumping on her & grasping her neck, whereupon she trys arm waving vigourously (seems hard to do when pinned down poor things lol), & he keeps trying to move her around so he can 'do the deed'.
What you're describing is more like 2 males combating..........
