Hey guys I was looking at black-headed moniters but I have a few questions.
When fully grown can they eat mice?
What substrate is best for them?
For "one" what enclosure size is good?
Should I put branches in the cage?
And should I have a heat pad?
Any help would be great.

When fully grown can they eat mice?

Yes, mine happily swallow smallish adult mice.

What substrate is best for them?

I use a leaf litter & fine bark mixture direct from the local landscape yard at a depth of about 12".

For "one" what enclosure size is good?

I have a trio in an enclosure 1200 wide x 1200 high x 800 deep.

Should I put branches in the cage?

Absolutely, they are highly arboreal, mine spend most of their time up high in the branches.

And should I have a heat pad?

Not necessarily, although I have one under their nest box.
