My northen bluetongue finally gave birth today, 14 babies

Almost all captive bred bluetongues here has been turned over to our europe spring summer breeding, my animals came out of brumation in early februar and birth starting now with northens but some years ago I had a pair of shinglebacks (rugosa aspera) that would sleep in our summer and breed in winter no matter what I did, the shinglebacks(rugosa rugosa) I have now follow our normal breeding season

Most peculiar! The timing is similar to what happens in the southern hemisphere, despite that you'd expect it to be reversed. You can't complain about a healthy litter of babies and good results all 'round, regardless of the timing :)
