These are from my caramel girl paired to a striped, suspected axanthic boy. IMG_20180223_124727_280.jpg IMG_20180223_124730_327.jpg IMG_20180223_124739_375.jpg IMG_20180223_124759_017.jpg IMG_20180223_124759_017.jpg IMG_20180223_125002_407.jpg

Those hypos come up nice, good striping to interesting project

I held back most of them. if the dad proves out this year, they will be het for ghost. I don't know the sex of them yet but it would be cool to try for striped super caramel axanthics.

Put me on the list if they do. I’m still at a loss trying to sex baby snakes myself.

I'm picking up the het ax coastal girl next week to prove out the male. He's also going over the hypo girl again.

Both those snakes look really nice.
If the dad proves out then those female het's will be good to breed back to dad and the the son's back to any full sisters or even other het sisters. I would personally stick to breeding hets to full so at least you get some full and the rest are full het.
If he proves out I am definitely interested in both full and hets.

Update! so, the hypo mum is the offspring of a orange pepper jag to a hypo/caramel, I think. I've been told that the mum may carry both genes (or could be classed as either). If so, then the lighter coloured one here may be orange pepper, and maybe has the hypo/caramel gene as well. If anyone here has any info or theories as to what these things are, I'd love to hear it.
IMG_20180518_153102_315.jpg I also picked up my het ax girl and she's a stunner, slightly reduced pattern which I think will go great with the ax boy's stripe.

I’m not sure Mick people tell me they are the same thing which they are both hypo morphs.

The only thing that makes me question it is I’ve seen more then one person labeling animals for sale as hypo, caramel and caramel/hypo.

My own particular caramels originate in a different line of Mackay coastal. But have jag in the mix.

Sorry I can’t help you,
[doublepost=1526957706,1526957360][/doublepost]I was told orange peppers were made from true blue line coastal.

yeah, it's a bit of a mystery the caramel/hypo gene, you hear lots of different ideas. It might take a few years of breeding to figure this one out.

Mate I’ve been fed **** from day one. I’m like a mushroom kept in the dark hahah lol

The little sunglow I bought is now apparently a redline albino, that's coming from the breeder. he's pretty though whatever he is.
[doublepost=1526958147,1526958035][/doublepost]He also sold me the coastal axanthic boy, and gave me a few contradicting stories about him too. can't wait to prove him out and solve the riddle.

Even if i did get that outcome, i wouldn't know for sure, too hard to tell what would be what. so frustrating. two of the caramels have black outlines on the pattern and two don't, the ones that don't are a lighter colour, but that could be a co-incidence.

I bred jag to jag so I wouldn’t know either. Only got three sibs yours being one them. Jag will amplify hypo.
Overseas the hypo gene is way more extreem then their caramels anyway.

I was going to put sunshine over her next year to get some caramel jags. she seems to be going through a growth spurt, and should be big enough for him next season. this year she's getting the axanthic boy again.

Their is a lot of mixed info on subject of caramel vs hypo. Is the hypo just a super caramel or are they 2 seperate genes and if so how do we tell them apart? If they are a seperate gene and get mixed it would make sense to me that the caramel will get bred out as most will hold back the more extreme hypo over a caramel with more black.
