Hi Guys,

Okay, I have had alot of problems with trying to find good ceramic fittings that dont blow my bulbs every 5 seconds or decided to randomly stop working.
Does anyone know where I can find reliable ceramic fittings?
The price doesnt worry me, I just want my herps to be happy and healthy.

I know that most people prefer heat cords and heat mats but my enclosures are not set up for them plus I find that they like basking underneath it.
I am building them new enclosures which will house a heat cord in the hot end and a basking bulb over their basking spot.

Cheers

Try your local electrical wholesaler or wholesale lighting and electrical outlet - The place where electricians buy their wholesale gear. Ceramic fittings are a little more specialised than your general gear but most good electrical wholesalers should have something for you.

The globes blowing has nothing to do with the ceramic fitting.

I buy mine from Reptile Direct Australia :) About $21 each(including postage) on their eBay store. I have had mine for about a year+, not one has failed or blown globes :) They are great quality and cannot reccommend them enough! :D

Search TMZ-200 Ready Wired Battenholder 1.8m cable, on/off reptile brooder lamp fitting on eBay :)

EDIT: Or here: A few to choose from

Hi.. TLE electrical wholesalers stock ceramic and flanged ceramic fittings. Price im not sure for you but I payed $4 each when buying 40 for our new enclosures.. Ive been using them for years from them with no dramas... Btw TLE have many locations so im sure youll find one around you... hope that helps.

Are you talking about ceramic fittings or ceramic heat emitters?

Good question Norm!.....When I originally replied I interpreted it as being the fittings.

If it is Emitters you are after then forget what I said in my above post. I get my emitters from Reptile Direct and have had no issues with them.

I assumed that we were discussing fittings.. not emitters. Im some what confused. :)

I assumed the same as well because the OP said that the fittings she had were blowing globes.

Yep, all good, just re read the first post and I must of read it wrong!

Carry on everybody!
