Well I have been slack as, since these pics are from our trip to Darwin in June/July and I am only just putting them up now:oops:

Unfortunately most of the herps we saw were not in the wild but was still cool to see them.

This was our first day there, at the Territory Wildlife Park.
Saw this beautiful free ranging Mertens monitor.

One of the massive crocs at Crocasaurus Cove, which was awsome. I think it had one of the best reptile displays I have ever seen, and everything was really active!

What some great photos Sarah, love the new purple Knob tailed gecko, the Water python, the Mulgas and defiantly the BHP...Looks as thou you had a terrific time...MARK

Thanks, had a great time. Only downside was that there was so much to see but not enough time to see it all.

thank you very much i enjoyed those pix :)

nice pics, your geckos are asian house geckos except the big chunky one, which looks like gehyra australis

by the way, looks like cane toads have had there effect, when we were up there we saw piles of frillys, and monitors where the most common reptile, saw heaps of them. real shame, did you see many of either of them? any cane toads about?

No we didn't, but we were told that the frillys spend winter in hollow trees and are not very visable at that time of year.
We did see a big ugly toad right in the middle of Kakadu, was sad!

Nice pictures. I think the Tawny dragon may actually be a Chameleon Dragon, Chelosania brunnea. The Ridge tails look to be Varanus baritji.
