I've got a male Boyd's which I've had for nearly nine years, he has bred successfully in earlier years but unfortunately his wives have been gone for quite a while now. I keep him outside in a nicely planted aviary, and he surfaced again after winter about five or six weeks ago, and still looks in prime condition.
I'm wondering if anyone has an adult female or two I can put in with him to see how he goes at his ripe old age? I was going to keep him in retirement, but he might enjoy a bit of female company if he has the chance... and the bubs are very cute. PM here is fine.
Regards, Jamie
