Hi so i am planning on getting a childrens python will b e my first snake i have a reptile one 4 foot enclosure im just wondering if this sounds right for lighting/heating...

so i would have a normal low watt low uv fluro for daylight....
and during day/night for heating would it be suitable to have a moonlight globe for basking spot on a thermostat the changes the temp at nighttime...

Im just thinking instead of having to get a daytime basking light and a night time basking light...and that way i can see inside at night time

any adviced would be appriciated .. Thnx

You may not need night time heat, depending on your location, and the age of the snake. Anything over a year old shouldn't need night time heat, unless you are in one of the colder areas of Australia.

I agree with pinefamily.
Hot spot/basking area, enough space/hides that the animal can get out of the heat if it wishes. Make sure heat source is protected from contact if using globes or CHE as these can get a really hot surface temperature.
I dont heat anything 24/7 other than hatchies for their 1st year.
Just like to add that UV is not a neccesity for a snake.
