Hey all, just wondering if anybody can offer some computer help as I'm pretty useless..

I'm on a Mac and have an issue with Flash player. I was trying to view movie trailers online and it said I don't have the right version of flash player, get it here. So I clicked on the link and it downloaded, but when I opened the file it was just a bunch of jargon...

Very confused, have no idea what I'm doing.

Can anybody give me a hand?

Cheers
Phil

Firstly, make sure you're downloading the mac version, not a PC version.

Secondly, I'm not sure what you mean by opening the file? With a mac, if you download a program, it'll open an installer. After you run the installer it gives you an icon to drag into your applications folder, and then you have the program. Opening files isn't really necessary at any point. If you're opening a file you probably have the PC version of the installer.

It must be a PC version... it opens up a program called "TextEdit" and just shows a bunch of jargon.

Any idea where I can get the mac one? Just Google it?
