Hi guys.

I'm upgrading my Stimmy into a 60x45x45 Exo Terra. Currently in a click clack with just a heat mat 'cause that's been sufficient for heating purposes but I'm concerned that it won't be enough in such a big tank.

So I'm wondering if it's an easier heating solution to use a naked floodlight and just perch it on the top of the mesh of the tank.

This was a recommendation by the folks at the Armadale Reptile Centre. Any thoughts?

when I moved my pythons into 45x45x60H I put the heat lamp inside with cages for safety. On top of the mesh they don't get all the heat as it's dispersed.
I'm in Sydney so it's 40W in summer and 60W in winter

I would get a bigger, higher wattage heat mat and run it through a thermostat. Good luck !
