Gecko lighting?

What sort of lighting would ring tailed gecko's require in the way of uv? I need to get a UV light for my viv and i'm tossing up between a gro-lux or a T5 reptile tube, would the gro-lux do ring tails?

grow-lux arnt UVB. - any UVB tube should be fine , I use a UVB10 on my ringtails.

You need something with a minimum 5% UVB

All I used to use was one of those NEC blacklights and mine did fine. For heating I used a 60watt spotlight and they loved it, would bask under it and everything.

ok so the gro-lux are only uva? Will have to go with the reptile tube then cheers guys. Dont think the NEC10 will do as its a viv full of plants
