I've seen a few granites for sale lately, does anyone know much about these? from my understanding they are from a MS metcalfei (inland), and it's a recessive gene. does anyone here know the facts?

To my knowledge Mick the granite morph originated in Papuan pythons (ij’s) which are much the same as variegata (Darwin pythons). Although none available in Australia are pure ij.

The inland has the silver pepper morph. They are pure md.

Yeah i also heard that the original was an irian jaya.. somehow one turned up (smuggled) here and wallah we have granites down under now!
