Greebo, In Queensland we don't have a list of what we can keep on a basic licence, only what we need a Specialist licence for, or things that are forbiddon, like Crocodiles. So if it isn't on that list and isn't Rare/Endangered,we can keep them on a Recreational Wildlife Licence.

You cant keep pale headeds.. Bit too dangerous!

And if you can keep suta suta on a basic licence, then your parks and wildlife has abosolutely no idea!

Good on ya brodes matey i do believe you are a goddam genius you are the first to work out that they have not got a clue

you need a specialist licence for ALL elapids,if you ring parks and wildlife and ask nicely they will send out a list of what other things are restricted and more details of the licences or you can PM me you addy and i can post you a copy

Yer oldie,

6 months ago, before they introduced the elapid permit up here.. I couldnt legally keep a naped snake, but I could keep a 5m crocodile... Make sense to you at all?

My gott! That sounds like a half-assed system. In NSW there is a simple list of what you can keep for each category of license.

Your learning well brodes makes me laugh big time reading about the nape snake and the croc makes one wonder if other gov depts have the same level of competency its awry and can be likened unto a circus with import and exporters feeding the monkeys.
