Hello everyone,

I’m a hobbyist from California, U.S. I have various arachnids, centipedes, leachianus geckos, 2 yellow ackies, 1 red ackie, and a mertens monitor I just received a few days ago.

I’m here because Australian monitors are one of my favorite species of animal. You lucky bunch get to enjoy them in their natural area which is awesome. Many of the varanaids from Australia cannot be found in the United States or they will be very rare and extremely expensive, some for $10,000. I’ve been browsing various threads here just learning about the animals from Australia.
