I'd like to buy some (4) off ES light fittings with small bases. The ceramic ones on Herp Shop are too large. Found some at a local Haymans, but they wanted 18 bucks each..!

Something small and neat like this : http://www.ecvv.com/product/1966691.html

Where do you guys and girls get your fittings from?

If your not in a rush then look around the local Sunday market for those flood lights a lot of people have outside. They use the same fitting and usually turn up for a dollar or two, often with a broken plastic housing. Look inside some are held in with hollow rivets and can be a bugger to get out. The bathroom tastic also uses the same fittings.

Other places to check would be demolition yards, you would be surprised the stuff you can find at them, usually cost a little more than the sunday market, but would prob have a greater selection of stuff to go through

Middy's do them for $15 or so each, BC batten fixings are like $5 from everywhere.

This type of fitting that Herp Shop sell has a huge base and is not conducive to setting two lights side by side.

This type of fitting that they sell is of more appropriate dimensions but does not allow for adequate routing of the cable.

Everything Reptile in Manly nailed it, they have the above and it's perfect.

actually they do have a fitting, and it is a bit cheaper than Everything Rep, but it's not clear how it attaches.
