Hoping to get a Snake soon

G'day from QLD
I'm currently trying to convince my mum to let me get a snake, so far so good, I was aiming towards a woma, I have had experience with handling before have have been researching for a year now. But I was wondering what will happen if the license laws change in QLD, I heard that woma's will be classified as class 2 animals and I wont be paying over $300 for a license, I just wanted to check if woma's are going to be class 2 animals.
As anyone recommend any books, I think its time I got one.

Good on you for doing some research before buying, knowledge is power.
The go to book is typically Keeping & Breeding Australian Pythons by Mike Swan. I cant tell you much about the QLD licensing but I doubt there will be too many changes, certainly not for casual keepers. That said Im sure someone with more idea of the regulations up there will add their input.
