A mate of mine had something similar happen with his RBB's. He found one eating the other and after freaking out decided there was nothing he could do. He reckons he came out later on and both snakes were in their enclosure again, alive.

Some one told me that if they both eat the same bit of food they wont stop just because the other snake is attached to it. Maybe this is what happens so once they have finished their meal, the other figures they are in the wrong place and slithers out:?

I am meeting up with a guy in the know this week I will ask him.
