On a recent holiday in The Glass house mountains, QLD, driving home after dinner one night, my partner and I came across this little fella. Immediately we thought it was a juvenile snake, but wanted a closer look and a picture to confirm. So I jumped out to grab a snap (I apologise for the poor quality if the pic, it was pitch black and I had thongs on so was a bit hesitant). Now looking at these pics after the fact, I don't think that’s a snake at all, instead a pygopod- a Southern Scaly foot (Pygopus lepidopodus) is my guess, Can anyone confirm this or suggest an alternative?

Ha ha ha, zoom jason zoom! Then tilt your head to the left and squint, it will all become clear.
