is this a white lip snake or a baby venomous one?

Is this little critter a white lip? or something else? Was only about 50cm long..

I only ever get lowland copperheads here

Where did you see it, its a ramsayi, highland copperhead.

It's a Copperhead.

A Highland Copperhead for sure, the upper labial scales are strongly barred and if you found it round the Noojee/Yarra Ranges area, there the main Copperhead species there.

Actually it was Peter that identified the species first - Austrelaps ramsayi
