This has to be a common problem for all of us who keep live feeder insects and like to let our pet lizards roam occasionally on the floor.

Banned the use of flying insect sprays and surface sprays and been several years since I set any roach baits. Not used a roach bomb since before I started keeping lizards , or surface sprays or flying insect sprays either.

Predictable consequence , the house roaches have been able to build up their numbers , and are often seen at night in the sink , bathroom and kitchen even though we do our best to avoid leaving anything they might eat accessible to them.

What do you guys do to control the crawling pest insects , while not killing off your feeder insects at the same time or risking poisoning your pet skinks and dragons and geckos ?

Are there better options than roach baits ?
And being obsessive about removing any sick or dead roaches spotted BEFORE the pet lizards spot them .
