Just a quick post to find out how often should a 3 and a half year old jungle python should be shedding... she used to shed every couple of months but its been over 6 months since her last shed and im not sure if i should be worried. pretty sure shes coming up to slough now though, ive pulled her out today and her scales are dark and a little rough so.... yeah

how often is normal?

Its a combination of things, how much they are fed and how old they are.The older they are the longer between each shed.Snakes slow down growth as they get older. So your jungle at 3.5years and being fed every 10-12 days every 2-4months is good.If she hasnt shed there is know need to worry she will be fine.

Cheers Mat

thanks mat. yeah i feed her once a fortnight on med adult rats. shes not sluggish or anything like that, i was just making sure she's fine :)

cheers!
