Hi,
Is it possible to keep both species together in the same enclosure? has anyone had any experience with this? Ive been reading keeping and breeding Aus lizards and all it really says is that they can live in colonies but doesnt say in mixed species. The enclosure is huge and will contain both bush rock and heaps of hollows
Any info would be great :)
Thanks

Shouldn't have any problems mate there both very similar in needs. Maybe keep the temps a bit lower the first week so they can get used to each other when first introduced and keep an eye on em to see how they react for a bit after that, should be sweet but. As with any colony keep em well fed to minimise fighting and nipping. Be sure to post up pics, the tank sounds like it'll be a ripper! Hope that helps.

Generally not a good idea unless the enclosure is a massive outdoor pit. Egernias barely tolerate their own species - another species is a competitor and will be driven out.

yeh they are aggressive dan,i had one female cunningham and 4 males, after six months i had 1 female and 1 male, then the female attacked and killed a young landmullet after she had given birth, like a warzone.

That was in a massive 6 metre enclosure ,lizards just have to run further to rip each other.
