Keeping pythons with other pets in the house?

Hi, we're just starting to research getting a snake and whether it's right for us. I have a question about other pets that I cant find an answer to on google and I'm hoping someone here can help.

We already have guinea pigs which we keep in the house (in an enclosure). We're thinking of getting a children's python, but I'm wondering whether the snake would smell potential dinner all the time and that might impact its behaviour? Obviously we would never put them close to each other, but would they be ok kept in separate rooms?

Shouldn't be a problem . I know of lots of people with multiple types of pets,my cat roams the house checking out all the reptiles.

I keep my pythons in the same room as my pet birds and live breeding feeder rodents. Never an issue.
